Encounters – The cornerstone of many adventures
These are some of the most fun / frustrating times you or your players will have. Maybe you want a Dragon, a Mimic or a few Cult Members to be lying in wait for the unsuspecting traveller? UGM makes that easy to set up and incredibly easy to manage in game.
Just choose your Monsters, NPCs etc. and edit each item. Fixed amounts, Random amounts… 3-5 Adult Dragons anyone? Homebrew content (See the epic content customisation functionality below), even designate who is an enemy and who is friendly. Reinforcements arriving after a number of rounds… Too much to do justice to here!
When running a campaign area, the Encounter element takes all the effort out of encounter management.
Your players get notified to Roll Initiative, which they can do by clicking on the initiative on their character sheets, and the in app roller will roll and send the result to the GM or they can roll their own favourite dice any the GM can enter the values manually. The GM can also auto-roll for all the Monsters, NPCs or even the Players. The app then puts everyone in order, and pulls up all the info for the current Player / Monster / NPC / Animal Companion / Demigod, so everything you need is right there at your fingertips.
.. And when its all done and the last drop of blood has been spilled, you can automatically distribute XP and generate a loot window to hand out the bounty your players deserve. They can add it straight to their inventories… Just hope the Rogue doesn’t grab that magic sword the fighter has been looking for.
