Early Access

Development is active · access is not yet generally open

Bring your table into the build.

The integrated table demonstration has passed, and the Player lifecycle is accepted: manage Characters, join a Game, complete GM review and keep permitted final copies. Shared themes, accessible controls and real-app acceptance are the current focus before wider access.

Real Tables Wanted

The interesting failures never happen in a perfect demo.

UGM needs Campaigns with history, players who press the unexpected button, crowded networks, small screens, unusual accessibility needs and GMs who change the plan halfway through a scene. That is how a promising build becomes dependable tabletop software.

GM Game Masters

Prepare and run Campaigns, improvise when the plan changes and tell us where the software helps—or gets in the way.

Campaigns · live control · recovery
PL Players

Use Characters and interactive sheets during real play, reconnect after interruptions and test whether the important action stays close at hand.

Sheets · dice · Player experience
NET Network testers

Bring two devices, a tricky home network or a remote friend and help exercise discovery, joining, privacy and recovery under ordinary conditions.

LAN · remote · reconnect
VIEW Spectators and streamers

Judge whether the audience gets a useful, dramatic view without seeing GM notes, private sheets or unrevealed Campaign material.

Spectator · displays · privacy
MAKE Creators

Build Gamesets, Characters, Campaigns and reusable material, then test whether sources, ownership and intent survive the trip into live play.

Gamesets · Campaigns · content
LIVE Venues and clubs

Stress shared spaces, fast resets, multiple screens, unreliable public Wi-Fi and the practical reality of bringing new people to a table.

Events · devices · public play

Integrated demonstration · technical proof complete

Build it. Run it. Join it. Roll it. Watch it. Continue it.

The integrated demonstration passed on 7 September, including save, full exit and Continue across both internal validation Gamesets. Player lifecycle close-out was accepted on 13 September. Shared themes and real-app acceptance are now active.

  • Campaign Builder material opens directly in Campaign Player. Passed.
  • Gameset-driven Character fields, resources and actions persist. Passed.
  • Real LAN participants receive matching authoritative physics dice results. Passed.
  • Local and remote spectators receive useful permitted views. Passed.
  • Character Vault, GM review, readiness, admission and permitted Character returns have accepted lifecycle evidence.

The integrated lifecycle checks used separate processes on one Mac. Wider physical-device, screen-reader and release acceptance remain separate from the earlier real-device LAN proof.

Invitations begin only when a defined slice is safe and useful enough to respect testers' time.

A Better Test Invitation

You should know exactly what you are walking into.

Early access is not a vague promise to tolerate an unfinished product. Each invitation will define the journey, the known limits, the evidence needed and how feedback will be handled.

SCOPEA test with a purpose

You will receive a clear route, role, device setup and finish line instead of being asked to wander through the build.

TRUTHKnown limits up front

Unfinished behaviour, risky data paths and expected rough edges will be explained before participation.

SAFERecovery comes first

Tests involving meaningful Campaign or Character data will include backup, isolation and recovery guidance.

VOICERoom for the human story

We want to know where attention went, what felt magical and what made the table stop—not only whether a button worked.

PRIVATEYour table stays private

Campaign details, logs, images and recordings are shared only within the agreed test and privacy boundaries.

CREDITApproval before publicity

No quote, screenshot, clip or table story is published without confirmation of the exact material and attribution.

Get On The Radar

Tell us what kind of table you can bring.

Discord is the current front door. There is no application form or guaranteed place; a useful introduction helps future invitations find the people and setups that fit each test.

  1. Join the UGM Discord

Introduce yourself in the community and say which part of tabletop play matters most to you.

  2. Describe your table

Mention your role, group size, devices, platforms, network setup, accessibility needs and usual style of play.

  3. Watch for a matching invitation

When a defined slice is ready, its scope, expectations, time commitment and known limits will be announced.

The Testing Road

Different stages need different tables.

Invitations will widen as the product moves from the integrated demonstration through Player and GM parity, cross-platform proof and the private parity beta.

01Integrated table slice

Focused GM, Player, network and spectator setups prove the six headline programmes as one journey.

02Player and GM depth

Longer sessions exercise Characters, authoring, live runners, maps, messages, trading, timers and recovery.

03Private parity beta

Representative groups complete the full audited journey across supported roles without developer tooling.
