Privacy & Safety
The right information. The right people. The right moment.
A tabletop session can include private notes, personal accounts, hidden maps and a public audience at the same time. UGM treats those boundaries as part of the experience.
These are the privacy and safety goals for the complete UGM v2 experience. Connected account controls will be described only as they become ready.
Designed Boundaries
Privacy should not depend on remembering which window is live.
Purpose-built views and clear permissions reduce the chance of a secret, personal detail or unapproved image reaching the wrong screen.
- 01
At The Table
Players see what their role allows.
Character, map and session information is filtered through the GM host rather than direct access to private storage.
- 02
For Audiences
Public output starts safe.
Spectator, venue and stream views are composed for viewers instead of mirroring a private GM workspace.
- 03
For Creators
Rights and consent travel with the material.
Sources, licences, attribution, export boundaries and publishing approval stay visible.
Human Safety
Tools support the table’s agreements; they do not replace them.
UGM can help surface safety material, moderation controls and consent-aware presentation, while the people at the table remain responsible for respectful play.
- 01
Use role permissions and viewer-safe defaults.
- 02
Keep recordings, testimonials and submitted media opt-in.
- 03
Provide account export and deletion routes when connected services become available.
