Roadmap

Current work: shared themes and real-app acceptance

Prove one real table. Then grow the whole platform.

The integrated table demonstration has technical proof and the Player lifecycle has owner acceptance. The shared theme engine, UGM Command and custom-theme parity are active before the full Character Editor and the remaining audited product baseline.

Current Position

Player lifecycle accepted. Shared themes are the current gate.

Evidence reviewed 22 September 2026. The integrated table demonstration has technical proof and Block 6 has owner acceptance. UGM Command and custom themes now share the active presentation work before the full Character Editor.

Current · UC02–UC06

Keep the same trusted actions across different themes.

Command and Paper & Ink exercise the same theme packages, shared widgets and application-owned actions. Layout, input, reading and recovery must hold together through normal use before the next editor block begins.

  • Character Vault, portraits, copy/archive/restore and portable Character transfer have accepted lifecycle evidence.
  • Players submit selected Characters for independent GM review, mark the approved set Ready and wait for explicit admission.
  • GM-provided Characters and final permitted returns preserve source ownership, local versions and explicit retention choices.
  • Theme installation, selection, pending-package restart and sampled response improvement have bounded Mac-player evidence; a missed click, wider device input, screen-reader speech and owner acceptance remain open.
Next acceptance gateUC
06

Explicit real-app theme acceptance precedes B07, the full Character Editor.

01 Integrated table proof passed

Both internal Gamesets completed the normal standalone table and save-and-continue journey on 7 September.

02 Player lifecycle accepted

Owner close-out followed on 13 September. The full editor and wider platform acceptance remain separate.

03 Themes and accessibility active

Two themes share package, widget and reading paths. Fresh Mac and iPad builds are build evidence, not device acceptance.

New Agreed Scope · Planned

Optional rules without another Gameset.

Gameset variants are assigned to the existing Gameset Editor, Campaign, Library and Gameset compatibility work. They do not change the current theme acceptance gate or establish a new delivery date; the added effort belongs in the next schedule review.

Author and choose

Create configurable optional rules, combine compatible variants and save named presets. Each Campaign retains its selected versions and custom settings.

Install, then activate

Library installs a signed, data-only Package containing one variant or a collection. Build enables and configures the rules the GM chooses for a Campaign.

Prove safe rule changes

Acceptance must cover actual progression and calculation effects, consistent rules when joining, conflict checks, Character impact review, updates and recovery. These workflows are planned and have not shipped.

Four Product Horizons

Useful first. Complete in traceable stages.

UGM v1 capability parity comes before novel expansion. The initial public product does not wait for every future marketplace, integration or advanced simulation idea.

Technical demonstration passed

Demonstrable UGM v1 parity slice

The integrated Builder, Player, sheet, physics dice, connected role and spectator journey passed through two internal validation Gamesets, including save, full exit and Continue. Wider device and release acceptance remain separate.

RoadmapMilestones 1, 2 and 3A
TimingTechnical proof: 7 September 2026; original target: 25 October
Exit outcomeA visible, coherent table experience—not a collection of disconnected proof screens.

Active horizon · parity product

Complete the useful UGM v1 capability baseline

The six headline programmes expand into the full audited Player, Games Master, authoring, runner, data and utility experience, with deliberate v2 replacements where the old approach no longer fits.

RoadmapMilestones 3B, 4 and 5
TimingAudited parity working target: 24 October 2027
Exit outcomeEvery applicable audited capability works through the normal product or has an approved v2 disposition.

First public release

Harden and distribute the parity product

The parity product receives production delivery, store flights, platform acceptance, accessibility, localisation, performance, privacy and recovery hardening before public availability.

RoadmapMilestone 6
TimingIndicative window: Q4 2027–Q1 2028
Exit outcomeThe same defined product journey passes on macOS, Windows, Android, iPhone and iPad.

Full platform vision

Grow connected play, creators and the advanced table

Advanced connected services, creator commerce, deeper Living Maps, integrations, broadcast production and new table Modules extend the public parity product. Academy, Session Simulator, Graph Framework, Ambassador Hub and Shared Worlds add learning, practice, visual authoring, partnership tools and persistent worlds across separate tables, with no release date committed.

RoadmapMilestones 7 to 10
TimingIndicative direction: 2028 onward
Exit outcomeA mature, extensible tabletop platform for players, creators, venues and public presentation.

Development Gates

The working route to accepted parity.

These are planning targets for customer-visible development evidence. Confidence is lower further out, and the schedule is reforecast from completed journeys rather than the number of source files changed. The original integrated target was 25 October 2026; technical proof arrived on 7 September. Later dates remain the unreforecast planning baseline while theme work is measured.

  1. 7 Sep 2026

    Integrated table demonstration

Both internal Gamesets passed the standalone table journey, reconnect and save-and-continue proof. Connected peers used separate processes on the same Mac; this is bounded technical evidence.

    Player and Character lifecycle

Character Vault, portraits, portable transfer, submission, GM review, readiness, admission, GM-provided Characters and permitted returns reached accepted B06 close-out. Full-editor work remains separate.

  3. Current

Shared themes and UGM Command acceptance

    Audited UGM v1 parity accepted

Every applicable capability has accepted evidence or a documented v2 replacement, with release-blocking parity defects closed.

    Working target

These dates are indicative development targets, not a public-release promise. Public distribution begins only after the parity product is accepted and the deferred production, store, signing and real-device gates are resumed and passed.

What Parity Really Means

Six headlines, backed by the whole useful product.

The completed UGM v1 audit contains 644 traceable capability identifiers backed by 223 archived screenshots and operational evidence. The headlines organise that work; they do not replace its depth.

GM Campaign Player and Campaign Builder

Authoring, maps, Area View, all 25 Area Elements, Quick Menu and live Encounter, XP, Loot, timer and audio runners.

PL Players, Characters and sheets

Character libraries and Editor, interactive Gameset-driven sheets, trading, notes, messaging, compendia and progression.

LIVE Network, dice and spectators

LAN and remote play, realistic 3D physics dice, useful privacy-safe spectator views, GM Controller devices and recovery.

Future Scope · Recorded 22 September 2026

More tables in one world. More ways to reach the table.

These additions are planned or under consideration. They have no committed dates and do not change the current delivery sequence or platform targets.

WORLD Shared Worlds: invited GMs and separate tables

A future optional Module for persistent worlds, shared mission claims, scoped lore approval, Character handovers and shared history. The World GM chooses timing so weekly and monthly groups can both play. Offline adventure results are reconciled before approved world publication.

Explore Shared Worlds
LATER Larger, continuously available worlds

A separate expansion after invited-world acceptance, with community moderation, delegated administration and proven service capacity. It does not promise public matchmaking, automatic world simulation or require every table to play at once.

PORTS Future platform feasibility

Linux desktop, Chromebook/ChromeOS and Steam Deck/SteamOS each have their own research and real-device acceptance work. A possible Googlebook port is provisional until the intended platform is confirmed. None is announced support; current targets remain Windows, macOS, Android, iPhone and iPad.
